#EatWise

Wild & The Moon is a movement created by a tribe of lovers of life, nature, and good food. A group of like-minded chefs, nutritionists, and naturopaths that want to share their way of life, and believe above all that real food is food that’s good for you, good for the planet, and delicious.

It is our ambition to provide our urban communities with:

Local, seasonal, organic and responsible trade ingredients wherever possible, thereby helping to promote biodiversity.

A revived sense and know-how about traditional food preparation techniques so as to protect its vitality and increase its nutritional powers, thereby offering both the benefits of raw foods and the unaltered taste of bioactive elements.

100% plant based, meaning that all our treatments are hormone and cruelty free.

Access the healing power of nature, and offer it to city dwellers so that they can nourish their souls and rekindle smiles through the powerful alchemy of plants.

Our Commitment

We offer a delicious selection of cold-pressed juices, vegetable drinks, smoothies, salads, soups, desserts, super bowls, and snacks to provide a healthy alternative to city dwellers.

Wild & The Moon products are homemade using fruits, vegetables, herbs, wild roots and plants, nuts, seeds, spices, and superfoods – all of which supplied by organic and responsible agricultural suppliers.

We do not use refined sugars, additives, preservatives, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), gluten or dairy products.

Our recipes are inspired by the seasons, by ingredients we love, by trips that have taken us to other countries near and far, and by meals shared with family and friends.

We have incorporated flavors and ingredients from distant childhood memories, together with paths taken purely by chance in life, and sprinkle them with herbalism and naturopathic secrets to create new nutritional alchemies that are energy rich.

1. Changes to your bordy

By adopting age-old methods of preparation, we preserve the very nature of food, keeping it as close as possible to its original nutritional state so as to retain all its natural strength. These techniques include:

– Pre-germination, which involves soaking nuts, seeds and grains to remove toxic anti-nutrients, which helps to revitalize them by increasing their enzymatic potential.

– Fermentation which increases the content of nutrients (vitamins, minerals and trace elements) and facilitates good digestion.

– Dehydration, which preserves enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants.

– Cold pressing, which retains all vital nutrients and enzymes. You will see and feel the benefits, in particular a feeling of well-being and lightness, clearer and more radiant skin, and a more alert mind.

Cold pressing
Our hydraulic pressure cold extractors reproduce the chewing process, slowly crushing fruit and vegetables, thereby avoiding heating and oxidation. Extraction standards such as centrifugation greatly degrade ingredients by transforming them at several thousand revolutions per minute, which destroys fragile nutrients, vitamins and enzymes. Cold pressing, in contrast, preserves the food and keeps its nutritional qualities intact.

Homemade
All our recipes are prepared in our kitchens. From almond milk – which is used to prepare smoothies, hot drinks, vegetable milk, or desserts – to vegetable crackers, we always start from the food in its purest form. This guarantees ultra-fresh dishes without additives or preservatives.

No additives
We never use any additives, chemicals, dyes, or preservatives. All our products are made entirely from organic products or sustainable agriculture, making them 100% natural.

Without conservation by HPP
This process of ‘high-pressure cold stabilization’ (or High Pressure Processing) consists of sterilizing the juices by immersing them in a bath of icy water at very high pressure so as to destroy all bacteria (in addition to vitamins and enzymes). This increases the retention periods, beyond three days. Juice that is more than 3 days old is no longer considered fresh. At Wild & The Moon, our juices are cold-pressed, without preservatives and unpasteurized. This ensures fragile vitamins and enzymes remain intact. Their use-by date is then three days. The same applies for our popular vegetable milk.

2. Good for the planet

Our recipes have been designed by chefs who are experts in plant ‘raw-vegan’, nutritionists and taste lovers. They use only the very best seasonal produce, which are grown and harvested by local farmers.

We are passionate about preserving healthy and sustainable agriculture, as well as the biodiversity of our planet. What is more, we aim to produce zero waste and recycle whatever and whenever we can.

The fiber-rich pulp of our nut juices and milks is, for example, revitalized and transformed into light, healthy crackers that are extremely rich in pre-biotics.

NO PLASTIC! We use 100% biodegradable packaging right down to the label and glue. Our plant-based plastic is made from corn starch and sugar cane using a low-energy process with a very limited environmental impact. #goodfortheplanet

3. Delicious

We are, first and foremost, lovers of taste. For this reason, it is simply out of the question for us to compromise on quality! The powerful vegetable alchemy is not only present in all our recipes, which are a superb source of energy for our bodies, but will also make your taste buds tingle.

Food Waste

1.3 BILLION *
TONS OF FOOD ARE THROWN IN THE TRASH OR LOST ACROSS THE GLOBE

This figure represents one-third of the total global food production. A figure as unsustainable as it is extraordinary. As a team, as lovers of healthy and tasty food, and as members of Wild Tribe, we believe it is our duty to make the world a fairer, healthier and more equitable place. Our mission is first and foremost to educate the communities we serve and wider society. We firmly believe that we have the power to change the world, meal by meal, as the only thing better than food that feels good is food that does good. We prefer to have empty refrigerators at the end of the day than to throw food away. We reduce waste by working with Too Good To Go, which collects our unsold products and resells them in surprise baskets at a lower price after closing.

The Founders

Emmanuelle Sawko (Emma)

Emmanuelle is a true Parisian. So whether it is food, design or fashion, she knows what’s up. Over the past decade, this cosmopolitan Frenchy has built a reputation as a global tastemaker in Paris, New York and Dubai. She is curator, director and co-founder of the lifestyle concept store Comptoir 102 in Dubai, a favourite of international travel guides and fashion magazines alike that has quickly established itself as one of the best stores of its kind in the city.

Winner of the Harper’s Bazaar Design Award for best furniture shop in the region and the What’s On award for the best Healthy Restaurant in Dubai, Comptoir 102 has become a reference for healthy eating and is a hidden treasure for Dubai’s more discerning shoppers.

Realising the strong potential of healthy food concepts in the local market, Emmmanuelle decided to launch Wild & The Moon, and took things to another level by establishing a whole chain of healthy grab and go stores.

She is also funny and rock n roll! She parties hard and personally tried and tested many different recipes for hangover cure juices before approving one! And that is her secret to looking so fresh. She is quite literally the creative brain behind our brand!

Hervé Sawko

Hervé is a finance Jedi and a pretty decent Thai boxer too.

A former partner at Rothschild Investment Bank, he developed his expertise in France, the UK, USA and UAE, where he was the head of the region, based in Dubai. His cosmopolitan career path enabled him to build up considerable experience in the hospitality, leisure and consumer goods sectors, with a particular focus on hotels and restaurants.

While living in New York, his interest in raw and vegan food continued to grow alongside his addiction for sport. Now a passionate advocate, Hervé strongly believes that increased knowledge and education around plant-based food, fitness and healthy living hold the power to change our society for the better.
